The Enforcement Directorate (ED) concluded an 18-hour long raid at the residence of Congress MLA Amba Prasad in Ranchi. During the extensive operation, the ED team confiscated several significant documents. Among the items taken were documents related to the state Assembly, including those pertaining to questions raised during sessions. Additionally, Amba Prasad claimed that the ED seized a trunk belonging to her sister, further intensifying the scrutiny of the raid.

Amba Prasad attributed the raid to political vendetta, alleging that the central agency targeted her due to her refusal to contest elections on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. She asserted that pressure was exerted on her to contest elections from both Hazaribagh and Chatra constituencies, which she resisted. Prasad also claimed to have faced backlash from BJP leaders for vocalizing concerns regarding NTPC and Adani, further suggesting a political motive behind the raid.
